To balance the weight of the the blue and red colors of the preexisting furnishings and window treatments, and to add illumination to the room, we painted the inside of the cabinets a golden yellow, and installed strip lights under the cabinets, thereby showcasing our clients large collection of blue and white ceramics. Floral arrangements on the mantle break the sharp angles of the flat panel TV and add a touch of color without interfering with viewing.
